Located on the vineyard-covered slopes of Lamego, Six Senses Douro Valley is a remarkable example of the integration between natural landscape and outstanding architecture. With a development area of 47,500 m², this project stands out for its balance between hotel sophistication and respect for the surrounding environment, and was awarded the 1st National Landscape Architecture Prize in 2008.
Under the leadership of the developer Aquapura Hotels Resorts & SPA and the architectural design by Arquitraço, we were responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of the outdoor spaces of this iconic resort. Construction took place between 2004 and 2007, with maintenance continuing until 2009.
The result is an environment where understated luxury blends seamlessly with the Douro landscape, offering a unique sensory experience — a true haven of tranquility and natural beauty.
